Produced by Jack Nitzsche, this album was recorded with guitar from Ry Cooder and Neil Young plus Crazy Horse as backing band. In a drunken 1974 interview Jack Nitzsche criticized severly Neil Young and the two men became estranged for several years. Later he had an affair with actress Carrie Snodgress, formerly Young’s companion. The story culminated in his arrest for violent assault (he was charged with threatening to kill her after he beat her with a handgun). In 1983 he married Buffy Sainte-Marie.
